Weekend reflection

Daylight savings started on Sunday, we went forward an hour. The boys came into our room totally dioriented about the time. I got up almost straight away as I always find with them the best way to sort their body clocks out is with their meals so breakfast got underway.

We spen most of the day outside, I was mowing, hubs was on the roof emptying the gutters, boys were playing soccer, helping move things from my mowing route and generally pottering about. It was a good day. I moved their soccer nets to a part of the garden that joins our neighbours in the hopes that all 4 kids might have a kick about when they stop for a chat at the gate. Had a short chat with my neighbour then wandered off as the rain started to come down. It was nice to catch up as I haven't seen her for 2 weeks. By now it was gone 5 pm!

Summer uniforms laid out for the children, shoes polished, bags packed, water bottles filled and most importantly summer hats in the bags. Dinner, packed lunches, and bed for the boys. Hubs settled down to some work and I drifted in and out of sleep before calling it quits around 10pm and heading to be.
